Ana Ruiz Agüí se graduó en Bellas Artes por la Universidad de La Laguna, Tenerife y se especializó en escultura en piedra en la Academia de Bellas Artes de Carrara, Italia.
Ha realizado escultura pública y de gran formato en Alemania, Italia, España, Inglaterra y República Checa.
Su trabajo busca, a través de la abstracción y el concepto, mostrar la belleza de la piedra, el dinamismo de las curvas y el contraste de texturas.
La escultura de Agüí se centra en la síntesis, que considera como algo complejo que requiere de mucho ritmo y armonía.
Trata de crear un tipo de escultura con carácter, sin perderse en los detalles y dejando que el material hable por sí mismo y que respire.
Actualmente vive en Tenerife y realiza exposiciones de manera periódica en Inglaterra .
Su trabajo se encuentra en colecciones privadas y públicas y también puede ser visto en la galería "Magda Lázaro" de Santa Cruz deTenerife.
Ana Ruiz Agüí, graduated in Fine Arts from the University of La Laguna, Tenerife. She specialized in stone sculpture, studying in the “Accademia di Belle Arti di Carrara“, Italy. Ana has created large and public sculptures in Germany, Italy, Spain, England and Check Republic.
Her work seeks through conceptual and abstract sculpture to manifest the beauty of the stone, the dynamics of the curves and the contrasts between different textures.
Agüí's sculpture centres on the synthesis, which she considers to be something complex that it needs of very much cadence and harmony.
She tries to create sculpture with character, without getting lost in details, allowing the material to speak for itself and to breathe.
She lives currently in Tenerife and realizes exhibitions in England .
